As our patients age, they manifest more problems and nurses need to find solutions. We will take a detailed look at the problems of aging, nursing best practices and focus on the top ten issues in geriatric health including cognition, chronic disease, falls, stroke, and incontinence. On WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2019 in Honolulu Hawaii join us to explore new research findings related problems confronting geriatric patients and those who care for them. This conference is designed for NP’s, RN’s, LPN’s, Pharmacists and other allied health professionals (contact hours for nursing licenses only).
$175 includes 8 contact hours for nurse licensing renewal in Hawaii and all 50 states, breakfast, lunch, and all materials.
Street meter parking is available for $1 an hour.

Identify chronic disease problems specific to the elderly population and how they differ from younger adults.
Identify signs, symptoms, & diagnostics to distinguish between normal aging, mental illness, & dementia in the older adult.
Demonstrate insight into strategies for medication prescribing and administration important to seniors.
Demonstrate insight into the importance of patient-centered care for our Kapuna.
