Type 2 Diabetes has become the most prevalent chronic disease and has been identified as the cause of a huge amount of morbidity, mortality, pain, and suffering.  Yet, we have the skills to control this modern-day epidemic.  Learn about the most recent developments in assessment and treatment of the patient with diabetes and nursing best practices in caring for our diabetic patients.

On WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2019 in Honolulu Hawaii join us to develop a comprehensive knowledge base to provide optimum care for the patient with diabetes.

This conference is designed for NP’s, RN’s, LPN’s, Pharmacists and other allied health professionals (contact hours for nursing licenses only).

$175 includes 8 contact hours for nurse licensing renewal in Hawaii and all 50 states, breakfast, lunch, and all materials.  

Street meter parking is available for $1 an hour.

Goals and Objectives

At the conclusion this conference, the participant will

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the changing demographics and sequelae of diabetes mellitus
  • Identify key components of personal and family histories for the diabetic patient
  • Identify significant positive and negative exam findings in the patient with diabetes
  • Identify current treatment modalities for diabetes mellitus and their implications for patients and families
  • Demonstrate skill in promoting patient adherence
  • Identify strategies for community engagement
